NPCC Training

It is the Training Policy of NPCC that: the Training Years will include all See 1 to Sec 3 cadets
  1. the Service Years will include all See 4/5 cadets
  2. the training programme should prepare cadets adequately for the various proficiency badge
  3. it should also qualify cadets for promotion to the various ranks
  4. camping to begin at Sec 1 which is to be an overnight camp in school while Sec 2 cadets go to Pulau Ubin. Sec 3 cadets will also go to Pulau Ubin, but a separate and challenging training / camping programme be devised for them.

Thus, the training programme to be implemented is devised in line with complete NPCC training by the time they finish their 3rd year in NPCC. All Sec 4 / 5 cadets will concentrate on providing services for the schools or community.

All Sec 4/5 cadets will be given a special task to perform, ie. to be mentor to their junior counterparts. They will give a 'helping hand' in matters pertaining to NPCC training, not unlike that of a 'big' brother or sister. Some specially selected Sec 4/5 NCOs will carry on with their specified duties.

Apart from being 'mentors' as and when required, all See 4/5 cadets may assist their schools as "Security Officers". They will do a monthly check of the schools physical security measures like checking for damaged perimeter fencing and any other accesses to the school building. A checklist of the various measure will be given to the cadets who will then report any weaknesses in these security measures to the school authority.
